IMA Working Group for 'Community' Website Starts off with a Bang!

By Sunbeam Magic

Infinite Metaverse Alliance (IMA), a new Virtual Worlds focused company, as described by one of the founders (Steve LaVigne) recently “...a company that would improve the lives of people in Virtual Worlds” has approved the Community Website Working Group. The group held their first meeting Tuesday, May 16th and were so enthusiastic they set up a second meeting that same week for May 18th, Thursday. Meetings will continue once a week on Thursdays at 10:00 am PDT.

The group consists of shawnkmaloney, Selby Evans, Sunbeam Magic, and SingerGirl Mode. Liaison and IMA advisers are Lisa Laxton and Steve LaVigne. Each member was given a specific role:

shawnkmaloney Group Leader

SingerGirl Mode Editor

Sunbeam Magic Admin/Press

Selby Evans Promotions

The group immediately defined and established their mission - “to create a Community website that is user friendly and appealing to all”. This 'community' website is in addition to the Infinite Metaverse Alliance website which is more inline with technical convergence and the leadership role that IMA will implement. The community website will be more inline with a way to access fun information, news, blogs, events, a forum, and a place to connect with like-minded individuals who agree with IMA's goals for a better virtual world experience.

The second meeting for the Community Website Working Group focused on web design, colors, menu tabs, ease of log in, and what the group felt a 'community' website should offer to new members. Different templates were viewed and discussions on graphics and links and other resources that may or may not be brought into the website were discussed to further enhance the user's visit. The entire group agreed our focus should be on the long term effect when considering auto functions and placement of menus and tabs and ease of sign up and change of moderators etc. so the website will run smoothly now and in the future.

We are always looking for good folks who may want to help and offer their skills in meeting our goals.
