If you would like to join the council please send email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so we can get you on board! We will be changing the monthly meeting date and time based on feedback from those who have schedule conflicts.

Meanwhile, for the folks that missed the meeting, thanks to Marcus Llewellyn, we have yet another recording of our meetings on our YouTube channel. Google's transcription for closed captioning should catch up soon so the cc works. You can view it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iTSlCDr1XY

Over the past few weeks, you may have heard some of us talking about something called Open Project. This is the leading open source project management server available and as planned, we are using Open Project as the open source software that powers our Project Management Site. Some of the frequently asked questions we heard are: What is it for? How do we use it? Do I need to download anything? So let's address those here!

Last week, we held a general load test in IMA Outpost Alpha. Thanks to all who participated! During that test, we had the general avatar activity but we also were simulating rapid user chat activity with ALICE chatbots courtesy of Radegast developers. The simulator did crash during the load test but unfortunately, standard logging did not provide us with meaningful data to isolate the cause of the crash. No viewer crashes were observed. In preparation of a repeat test, logging parameters were adjusted.

The IMA server has a new grid on it! The first region on it was the IMA Outpost Alpha on Metropolis Grid. Now online is the IMA Halcyon Test Grid. This grid was formerly hosted by Myron Curtis of A Dimension Beyond, Inc. on a virtual server that was a part of the Virtual Worlds Grid server farm. Now it has it's new home on the IMA server. It is a fully functional, full powered grid with an excellent connection to the Internet. It is available for testing purposes to anyone who needs them. It is also updated regularly with the latest version of the Halcyon fork of OpenSim to keep up with the technology. Here is the info to get in and use the new test grid:
